More Hawaii

So, I am pretty much held up in my Stamp Room today getting prepped for the next few weeks. It's a hot one today, and of course, I keep thinking about how awesome Hawaii was. Here are a few more pictures for your viewing pleasure. :)

This is a picture of Emily and I petting Eva the dolphin. One of the best parts of the trip was experiencing Dolphin Quest. AMAZING!

Here are my cute munchkins getting all suited up for Dolphin Quest. :)

This is Hapuna Beach. And it was just as spectacular as it looks. The ocean temp was 80 degrees! :)

2 of my dearest stamping up friends...Dawn and Diana (hey gals!). I love these ladies...they are amazing women. Only wish we got to see eachother more often.

Thanks for poppin in! Have a super day!

Love You Scrapbook Layout

This is one of the layouts from my Monthly Scrapbook Club. Lots of fun stuff going on here. First we have Bella Bleu, which is one of our new Designer Series Papers. It's got an antique vintage feel to it in Vanilla, Kraft and Not Quite Navy. It's super delicious.
We also used the Big Shot. The LOVE YOU title was done using the larger Alphabet Set. And the little envelope is also a die cut. What a cute envelope to tuck a little note into. And we also used the pretties kit...the flower on the first page. The flowers come white, but we just colored it to match the paper with the Stampin' Pastel Chalks. We also used a piece of the Vanilla Hodge Podge Hardware. I love that the hardware matches our punches, it makes it so easy that so many of our products go together.
And last, but not least...let's appreciate the subject. This is my now 7 year old, Jacob. He was sure a cutie when he was a baby (of course I am biased). :0)
I welcome you to join me at one of my club meetings. Just give me the heads up a few days in advance if you are planning to come. Details can be found by clicking the link to the right for my Upcoming Events.
Hope you enjoyed the weather today! It's going to be a hot one tomorrow (in the 90's). I had Ed put the Air Conditioner in my stamp room tonight. I would be very crabby if I had to work out here tomorrow in the heat!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great night!

The Newest Member of the Family....Bella

OK, now if this isn't the cutest puppy you've ever seen...I don't know what is! This is Bella...our new puppy...or soon to be puppy. She is a Golden Retriever and just 3 weeks old. Her eyes just opened up this week. We can't bring her home until May 24th. But we went today to check out the liter and pick which one we wanted. It was a hard choice, because they are all sooooo cute!

Emily and Bella are already great friends...she didn't want to put her down. She was crying, but when Em picked her up she stopped and fell asleep. :) Emily has been asking for a puppy for years but as some of you know, Jacob has been afraid of dogs. We are making progress. He is very excited about Bella and even pet her today.

So, either he'll get used to having a puppy around, or we're going to be in BIG trouble! But, who could resist this cute face?

Island Girl

When I was on the SU Incentive Trip to Hawaii, they gave us all kinds of cool pillow gifts and products.
One of my favorite things was this decal...Stampin' Up! Island Girl. Isn't it cool?

It works like our Decor Elements. I put it on the back window of my CR-V. We'll see if Ed thinks it's cool when he gets home from work. LOL. He might not want to drive a car that says Island Girl on it. :)

Happy Friday everyone! It's going to be a gaw-jus weekend...so get out and enjoy the weather!

Blooming With Love Class

Raspberry Tart Layout

This is the layout that we did Monday night with my Scrapbook Club. Isn't it great? I love the Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper, Raspberry Tart. It's nice and bright and great for summer pictures. This is my daughter Emily with Eva the dolphin. We did the Dolphin Quest (http://www.dolphinquest.org/) while we were in Hawaii last month. Emily said it was her favorite part of the trip. The flowers on the bottom right of the page were made using the Big Shot Machine (LOVE that thing!) and the Flower Layers with Leaf Die Cut. In the center is one of the most fun product ever...the Build A Brad. By using a 1/2" circle punch, you can customize your brads to match any project. Simply punch out with the circle punch, use a glue dot to adhere to the center of the brad, and lay the self adhesive clear pebble over the brad. Viola!

Here is the rest of the lay out....

My scrapbook club meets the 3rd Monday evening of each month. If you ever want to join us, drop me an email a few days in advance!

Thanks for stopping in today...

A Great Day

Yesterday we had our Spring Stamp A Stack. We had about 40 people in attendance. It was a fun day. The hall was bright and spacious. We welcomed back lots of customers and friends, and got introduced to new stampers (who all did a great job on their cards!).

This is a picture of my Mom Sally (on the right) and my friend Sandy on the left...showing off one of thier creations from the day.

The day is always about more than the cards...friends come in groups and stamp together. It's definately a social gathering. I want to thank all my awesome friends and customers who attended yesterday. I sure love you gals!

Sunday Escape

Now, isn't this the most beautiful thing you have ever seen? I mean seriously...it doesn't even look real.
Except it is.
Yep, I took this in Hawaii and it's one of my favorite pics. I could stare at this thing for hours.
Enjoy the view, and have a wonderful Sunday!
Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake Class and a little Flower Fancy to boot

So, it's been kinda hectic around here this weekend. I had a Cupcake Class with some fab ladies on Friday...it was a lot of fun. We stamp, we laugh...we screw up our cards...we flip over the cardstock and start again....But we don't mind. No one is in a hurry to get home...we just have a girls night. So here is a picture of what they made at class.... Isn't it just the yummiest looking set of cards you've ever seen? The class also included the stamp set Crazy for Cupcakes...so they will be able to make more at home. :)

So today was mostly spend getting everything ready for the Spring Stamp A Stack tomorrow. We have these twice a year. It's a full day of stamping, and it's a lot of fun...but it takes weeks of prep. Now, I am not complaining mind you...it's just that I have been less than organized lately. It looks like a bomb went off in my stamp room. And honestly, I am pretty much a "fly by the seat of my pants" kinda girl. Just to give you an idea, I had to overnight ribbon and paper that I forgot to order...and it showed up last night. So, today was spent making sure everything is as it should be for the big day. Now, if you are coming tomorrow, and you are missing something in your bag...I am sure it will be because I was cramming up until the 11th hour. But don't worry...between me, Kim and Judy, we've got extras and should have all the bases covered. Thank GOD for the wonderful ladies on my team!

So, here is a card that I just love. It's using the new stamp set Flower Fancy. It's such a simple design, but I think that is what I love best about it. I am drawn to simple, clean designs without too much fuss.

I think I just love the color combo of Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip (can you tell...? My blog is in those colors, too). I do hate to see the end of the SU year because we have to say goodbye to these wonderful In-Colors (Baja Breeze is one) that we have come to love over the year. New ones will replace them in the new catty...but I tend to get attached (yes, I know...I have issues).

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stoping by! Hope to see many of you at the Stamp A Stack tomorrow!

You Gotta Have Friends

One of my MOST favorite parts of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is the wonderful friends I have made. I look forward to seeing these amazing folks at Regional Seminars, Convention, Leadership and incentive trips that I have had the good fortune of earning. As many of you know, me and my family recently returned from the Stampin' Up! Incentive trip to Hawaii. It was the most incredible trip ever! The location was spectacular, the Hilton Waikoloa Village on the Big Island (http://www.hiltonwaikoloavillage.com/?WT.srch=1). I got to spend some time with my wonderful fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, as well as wonderful Stampin' Up! staff.

Here are a few pics for you:

Fellow Demo's and friends... Denise, Kimberly, Lisa, Me & Dawn

The "fam" all decked out in our Hawaiian shirts at the Luau Stampin' Up! arranged for us...completely awesome and over the top!

The kids "Hangin' Loose" on Hapuna Beach...spectacular!
I will be sharing more Hawaii pics in the days to come...so stay tuned!

Welcome!

Welcome to my new blog! I am happy to have a new blog look and will be posting new stamping samples soon and look forward to sharing new techniques, tips and more! To keep updated, be sure to subscribe to my blog!

I want to thank Michelle Laycock (http://www.laycockdesigns.com/) for designing my blog banner and Heather Wright-Porto (http://www.blogsbyheather.com/) for setting up my blog.

Test Run

Well, I think I should be able to go live in a day or two. Thanks to Heather and Michelle for setting all this up for me! I am learning (albeit slowly...but I will get there)!

So, I thought I would try to post an actual project! GASP! I know, you're shocked....

I just learned how to do my watermark, and all that jazz. So, here we go....

This is a card we made this month at my Card Club...isn't it pretty and oh, so springy? Lots of So Saffron going on here. This set is called Great Friend and it's new in the Occassions Mini Catalog. And did you notice that new gor-jus scallop oval punch? LOVE IT! Coordinated perfectly with our Large Oval Punch!

This is a busy weekend! I have a Crazy For Cupcakes Class tonight with 6 fabulous ladies...we are going to have a great time. After all, who doesn't love a good cupcake?
And Sunday is the Spring Fling Stamp A Stack. New location...Giamatti Little League Center on Mix Street in Bristol...lots of light, lots of room...it's all good. Look forward to seeing your smiling faces over the weekend. Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by!
